I got this gate so I could safely keep an eight week old puppy safe and out from under my feet!
It is great! Only problem---it's not in a doorway and so the space it fills has a slight angle. Am hoping this doesn't make it any less sturdy!
It is good looking, the gate works fine. I am very happy with it so far!

I done good! Because of Hayneedle's awesome website and info about each product, I was able to select the PERFECT gate for our needs. No worries now about sending it back, which crossed my mind from a purchase standpoint. I Didn't want to have to pay to ship it back. $$ Very pleased with the quality of this item. I like that the gate swings either in or out. Now I don't have to hurdle the gate to my bedroom anymore. Keeping Kitty's in and doggies out....I did raise it about 6" so cats can go under, but my "kitty box" eater can't get in! YEA!!!!

Pretty simple to set up, the opening could be bigger. The gate however does not self close as described you have to push it into place on the bottom. The latch could have a bigger lip for easier opening. Overall a good purchase for the intended need of keeping the dog out of a particular room.
