The Summer Infant Sure And Secure™ Tall Walk-Thru Gate is an ideal choice when containment is needed in busy areas of the home. This extra-tall gate is 36 inches high when mounted. Depending on your needs, the gate can be mounted with hardware or held in place with pressure. The door swings closed and locks automatically, eliminating the possibility of someone forgetting to close that gate as they walk through. (Here, we're talking about you. It's a simple mistake, and you don't want to make it.) Because of the 5- and 10-inch extensions, this gate will fit most openings up to 47.5 inches wide.

I *love* this gate! I got it to quarantine my new puppy (a black lab!) to the kitchen to avoid running a muck in the rest of the house. It was SUPER easy to put up--no drilling! I *love* how the gate can swing open either way, or just one way if you prefer. The other things that sold me on it, it's extenders for over-sized doorways, and the height...tall enough to prevent the jumpy puppy from breaking boundaries! The quality is solid, very durable! I love the gate because of the ease of getting through it, while keeping our dog enclosed. Something happened in the [...] of the gate though, that made brown-like marks all over the gate. It looked like spray paint or rust that went through the plastic surrounding the gate and onto the gate. The brown would not come off the gate. [...] This happened on both of the first two gates. The company stood by the gates and kept replacing them though, and asked that I dispose of the first two, or donate them to charity. The gate is great besides this.

This gate is AMAZING! Perfect for use on a set of stairs to keep dogs/puppies from entering into areas they need not be, i.e my upstairs bedroom. I plan to buy another to keep dogs from going down the basement livingroom stairs. It's so nice to just open a gate and not have to climb over one and risk injury, plus it's definitely sturdy enough to discourage a pointer/pitbull mix 80lb dog.

I was very pleased with the processing of getting my gate. I ordered Monday afternoon and received it Thursday morning. I would recommend the gate highly. I use it to keep my dog "Pug" from roaming the house and getting into trouble. Easy to assemble and a great value for the price.

Put it in about 8in above floor so cats can get under it. It keeps our Irish Setter from their food and litter box "treats" We just step over the bottom rung. Really like the self closure.

Hi Folks,
Let me tell you how happy I was to find such an excellent product at a competitive price. Simple to install and easy to use. The only negatives I found was that it opens one way which may be of limitation to those who prefer a full range and it only comes in white. The pros however, out weigh the cons.
