The energy-absorbing Versa-Tether has a staged-release tether webbing, which also helps slow forward movement and reduces the amount of crash force that reaches your child; it also features a two-point attachment to anchor the top of the child seat. Meanwhile, the deep side walls of the car seat are lined with energy-absorbing EPP foam to provide side impact protection; these walls distribute crash forces, keep your child's head, neck, and body stable, and shield her from vehicle intrusion. This car seat's 5-point safety harness has a tangle-free design and the Harness Ultra Guard System (HUGS) to resist forward movement during a crash. Finally, a plush, easy-remove cover, comfort pads, and infant body pillow all provide your child a comfortable seat and allow you to easily clean the seat without uninstalling it. This infant car seat can be used for rear-facing children from 5 to 40 lbs., and for forward-facing children at least one year old and 20 to 70 lbs. You may need an infant positioning insert (not included) for very small infants to get a snug harness fit.
