The base's SafeCell Technology™ lowers the seat's center of gravity in a crash, counteracting a seated child's forward movement to reduce the risk of a head injury. Integrated steel bars strengthen the seat's connection to the vehicle, and an energy-absorbing Versa-Tether with a two-point attachment and staged-release tether webbing, as well as the Harness Ultra Guard System, further slow forward-movement.

Deep side walls lined with energy-absorbing EPP foam offers superior side-impact protection, shielding and containing a child's head, neck, and body. They effectively distribute crash forces along with the secure, tangle-free five-point harness. High-density comfort foam, two buckle positions, an infant positioning insert, soft black and gold printed fabric upholstery, and rear- and forward-facing recline positions provide comfort for children up to 70 lbs. Premium lower LATCH connectors make installation quick and simple, and built-in lock-offs ensure snug lap and shoulder belt installation. The anti-slip, contoured base grips and protects a vehicle seat, and the plush, easy-remove cover allows you to clean the seat without disassembling it.
