The premium LATCH connectors give you a quick and easy installation, and feature a quick push-button release. The car seat's SafeCell technology uses cells which compress during a crash to lower the center of gravity and help diminish the seat's forward rotation; integrated steel bars make the seat's connection to the vehicle stronger to further reduce the seat's forward flexing during a crash. The energy-absorbing versa-tether has a staged-release tether webbing which slows forward movement and reduces the amount of crash forces that reach the child; this tether has a two-point attachment to anchor the top of the car seat. Side impact protection is provided by the deep side walls with energy-absorbing EPP foam lining, and an extra layer of high-density foam padding gives your child a comfortable seat. The five-point safety harness has two buckle positions to accommodate your growing child, and the harness holders keep the straps out of the way while you're placing your child in the seat. This seat is intended for rear-facing infants from 5 to 40 lbs. and forward-facing infants at least one year old and from 20 to 55 lbs.
