          I took my son's crib from 1979 and built a toddler bed that looks like a regular single bid. It has a headboard and footboard made from the wooden end of the old crib. I also used the steel rails from the crib so the mattress fit perfectly. Our granddaughter is thrilled.

              Using matress in new toddler bed. Fits more snug than his original crib matress did. Much more supportive. Better price too!
