This set is for my newborn daughter who will be joining this world in a couple of months. When I saw this set and the awesome price for the three-piece I couldn't pass it up. I immediately placed my order.[...] It was very easy to assemble: started one night after work and finished in the morning before work. Probably a total of 4 hours work. The finish is very nice and the design is attractive. My only complaint is that some of the doors and drawers seem not to line up very well. The either rub slightly or are slightly croaked. Also, the changing table does not have a lip to hold the changing pad in place. Other than that, which are small cons, you cannot find a better value out there. I recommend this set to anyone, especially if you don't the thousands of dollars to buy a more expensive brand that does not offer much more.

The rack that you put the mattress on is too short for a standard mattress, by about 3-4 inches. The mattress may rip because of this. The color is much darker than it shows in the picture. The changer was pretty hard to assemble because a lot of the holes weren't cut properly. But it looks very nice - despite the fact that we wanted lighter wood - and it seems to be pretty sturdy. Baby has not come yet though.

Comments about Simplicity Providence Convertible Crib Set:

This is a nice looking set for the price. However, out of the box, there were chips and blemishes to the finish. There were many imperfections in the wood. One of the doors on the changing table's hardware was not put on correctly in the factory, so the door will never be aligned.
The parts were not labeled, which made assembly tricky. You get what you pay for, but we expected a little more!
