The product, in my opinion, is beautiful. The stickers on most pieces make for easy assembly, although not all of the stickers come off clean (without residue).
The installation instructions are accurate except for one part in which it tells you to install the wrong piece to an area. It is obvious the piece does not fit and the appropriate piece for the step is also obvious, however this does not change that the instructions are inaccurate.
It took me about an hour and a half to put together by myself after checking all pieces are present and following each step. I did not experience any mistakes with "which type of screw to use", however it is somewhat difficult to determine which screw is which. I recommend getting a few sheets of paper, writing the name/letter assigned to the screw on it, and placing all of the screws of that type on the paper so you don't have to constantly flip back and forth through the manual.
This product seems very sturdy except for the place in which the crib meets the side-dresser/stand. The wood seperating the two is thin and I would imagine the first temper-tantrum from a young child (not a baby or toddler) will probably result in the foot of the child kicking through or cracking this piece of wood. Perhaps I am over-estimating the strength of children.
Overall I am happy with this piece. At nearly 6 feet long and 3 feet wide it is a big piece. To comment on the changing pad, I do not believe it is "skimpy" as described by other reviewers. It is about 1-inch thick, fits the length of the changer, and seems to be water-proof. I see no reason why this pad would need replacement.
I agree with the reviewer who stated this piece would look better if screw-caps came with it, however I'd imagine the screw-caps would be more difficult to remove (than to install), thereby reducing the ease-of-transition which makes this crib-to-bed product so popular.

I found that the final product looks very nice but my husband got to put it together. It takes a long time to put together because nothing on it was pre-fabricated (ie other brands have runners already on the drawer sides). One drawer had 10 different parts to assemble. My sister has a similar crib from a different brand (purchased on this website) that was much easier to put together for only slightly more cost.
My other big complaint is that the changing table only fits the thin skimpy pad that comes with it. It is 2-3" shorter than a standard changing pad making it impossible to change the pad or get a cover.
I also had some issues with their website continuing to add a second crib which I kept deleting repeatedly. In the end it sent me both cribs and then I got to pay for the return of the second crib which wasn't cheap. There customer service left much to be desired when it came to the return of their product.
Although the craftsmanship was sturdy and attractive, the other issues outweigh the good for this particular product in my opinion. I wished I had gone with either the other brand of combo crib on this site (which may have the same changing pad issues) or with the separate changing table that is available in this set.
