      The one problem I had with the crib that the first one[...] had a defect on one of the slats. The new one you sent also has it but not as big. This one I can fix and repaint although it will never be the same white. [...]This is my first grandchild so of course I want everything to be perfect, BUT i do want to finish the room..

      I had one over 40 years ago and it in use for over two years. Just purchased this one for my daughter expecting her first and their home has space limitation for which this is the perfect solution. Working out perfectly. It is a lovely piece of furniture. As the very thin "mattress" provided is disappointing, strongly recommend you "offer" another option. We purchased a 2" thick organic mattress for them. Also difficult to locate appropriate bedding. I made all theirs. Assembly: I assembled alone, but was difficult. You should suggest it is a two person simple assembly.

        We have a very small house, with a 2 1/2 year old still using his very large sleigh-style crib. This mini-crib fits perfectly beside our bed for the new baby as a changing table while he sleeps with us. Later he can sleep in it near us without disturbing big brother too much. I like the real wood construction, handsome espresso stain, and the very easily adjustable platform. Only drawbacks are the wimpy "mattress" and the huge, difficult-to-remove warning stickers on either end.
