I love how much storage I've gotten from this changing table. The drawer will hold an entire package of diapers which is so convenient - they're always right there where you need them. The open shelves have a nice laminate surface that makes them very easy to clean, and they have a generous clearance so you can fit a lot of things on them. I measured them and then purchased baskets which I painted and lined to keep all that baby stuff that can clutter up so quickly nice and organized. This black finish looks like it will never peel or crack and all the hardware is recessed. A flat pad was included with the changing table. I used it for the first several months of my baby's life, and it was perfectly fine. Once he started to wiggle more, I replaced it with a contoured pad. Another great thing about it is that there is room at the end of the pad for lotions, medicines and all those things you need to keep handy. My son loves to lay on his changing table and kick his legs and this thing never gives an inch. It doesn't wiggle or wobble through all his vigorous movement and that makes me feel good about having him on it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
