Silver delivers the legendary ergonomic seat and back, adjustable seat and back height, and integrated sinuous spring support for maximum comfort. Patented GLIDE-R-Motion technology allows smooth, extra-long gliding on top-quality ball bearings.
Gold glider option includes all of the Silver level features and adds the Multiposition mechanism which allows you to lock your glider in six stable positions. Lock it back for reading, forward for comfortable TV watching. Multiposition lock holds the glider still so it's easier to sit in or rise out of the chair.
Platinum includes all of the above features, plus Dutailier's patented Smooth Recliner Motion, allowing the back to be reclined any amount up to 18 sleepy degrees. Lean it back and put your feet on a gliding ottoman for heavenly rest and relaxation.

Shipment was faster than expected; the chair itself is solid and has a smooth rocking motion; it was easy to set up until you get to the installation of the handles. If you order the platinum version, it comes with 2 handles to help with adjustment. The problem is, attaching the handles to the chair is next to impossible. Conceptually, it should be a breeze to snap on the handle and to connect the two plastic interconnects to the chair. It seems so easy. But the interconnects don't fit very well and there is really no way to exert enough pressure unless you have a specialized vice that works in tight spaces. It literally took me more than an hour to attach 1 of 2 handles. I was lying on the carpet, sweating like a hog but proud of my accomplishment. When I found out that I actually installed it upside down, I almost punched a hole through the wall. But I restrained myself, knowing that I would probably be seriously injured and have no good story to back up the injury. I also realized that there was no going back because there is no way to detach and reinstall without destroying the handle. Anyway, I am now left with a decent chair but one upside down handle and one side knob that I have to manually twist to make adjustments. Next time I would probably buy a pre-installed glider and pay the extra $350 or so for that peace of mind.
