Designed to fit an adult and child comfortably, this specialty rocking chair is crafted with a sturdy beech wood frame and legs. Slate gray, easy-to-clean microsuede upholstery covers the entire chair, except for the dark wood legs. At 30 inches high overall, this functional rocker is shorter than most, but it's easy for children to climb into on their own. The backrest measures a modest 18 inches high. Wide armrests surround you with support and comfort. A fun accent for any nursery, the Storytime Rocker coordinates with Nurseryworks cribs and nursery furniture (sold separately), but it also can be enjoyed in a bedroom, playroom, or living room setting.

A: Nurseryworks furniture is handcrafted from woods finished with non-toxic and certified-safe lacquer and veneers. A child can not be harmed by these finishes. Furniture may be affected by a teething child. Replacement parts, touch-up paint, and wood stain pens are available for sale from Nurseryworks. Nurseryworks products are handcrafted and made of woods. Wood is a natural material, which may bend and cause a variation in the alignment of the drawers. Should this occur, Nurseryworks recommends attaching felt tabs or rubber pieces underneath the drawers to ensure that the drawers align.

A: A cotton cloth and a nontoxic cleanser will handle most needs. Nurseryworks fabrics are stain and water resistant; blotting a stain immediately with water will remove most spills. If using a fabric cleanser, an inconspicuous spot should be tested to ensure that it does not discolor the fabric. Periodic polishing or oiling of legs that have a stain finish will maintain the rich tones.

A: Nurseryworks furniture is made of six types of wood - ash, bent plywood, natural catalpa, Paulownia, pine, and zebra - with low-VOC lacquer and/or stained. Paulownia is a plantation wood that is harvested every 8 to10 years, thereby meeting standards for sustainability. A small amount of MDF is used to produce the Nurseryworks unique carving options.
